IT decision makers are increasingly responsible for the energy consumed

 
The budgets for "Green IT" are increasing! Nearly three quarters of IT makers (73%) expect increases within the 12 next months and 19% believe it will exceed 10%, according to Symantec following the publication of his "2009 Green IT Report "(1052 decision makers interviewed).

When companies massively adopt programs and responsible practices towards  the environment, the role of IT is becoming increasingly vital in this approach. 83% of respondents say they are now responsible or co-responsible of the consumed electricity and therefore even more motivated to reduce energy costs!

The vast majority (94%), IT decision-makers indicated they had now, within the company, a dedicated person responsible for the environment, which for 20% of them, is exclusively dedicated to IT.
